Decades of Reliable Deliveries and Growth

The first Larox pinch valves were manufactured in 1977. Originally they were developed as reliable and wear resistant slurry feed valve to pressure filters. During the years, the Larox pinch valve found its way to numerous other demanding process applications in different industries and Larox Flowsys Oy was established in 1993 to ensure pinch valve development and marketing for wide range of industries and applications working with demanding slurries.

As a result of continuous and persistent development work Larox Flowsys Oy was the first pinch valve manufacturer in the world to get awarded the ISO9001:2000 Quality Certificate in 1997.

Larox Flowsys Oy's sixth year of operation (1999) proved that demand for slurry valves was strong. Determined rationalisation of business activities and more competitive products resulted in improved profitability. Larox Flowsys was also successful in securing several new projects in the mining and minerals sector.

During 2002, the company concentrated on developing a state-of-the-art LPP peristaltic pump.  In late 2002, Larox Flowsys Inc. was established to improve the customer service and to strengthen the market presence in North America, Canada and Mexico. Production of the LPP pump commenced in the spring of 2003 and the pump has been an essential part of Larox Flowsys product range since.

In April 2008 the company expanded remarkably its business strategy and bought the shares of JFD Pumps Rotors Oy, specialized in comprehensive PC pump service and spare part deliveries. A year later the company acquired Destasol Oy, which expanded the activities to the centrifugal pump spare part business.

At the same time Larox Flowsys strengthen its position also in valve business and in June 2009 launched a new series of valves to supplement the pinch valve family. Larox Heavy Duty Knife Gate Valves were introduced to be used in tough environments with demanding media in the same industrial applications as company's pinch valves.
