Grinding aids such as glycol, amines, and acetic acid help cement particles to flow efficiently which reduces grinding energy and results in increasing product through put. These grinding aids are added to the cement prior to the final grinding circuit.
The customer was using individual diaphragm pumps for controlling the grinding aid to the circuit and was not satisfied due to inconsistent dosage control and pump unreliability. The LPP-M pumps have a high turndown ratio making it ideal for finite control and proper dosing to the system. A replacement tube being the only repair item is primary to maintained reliability. Providing a value added solution, Larox Flowsys packaged the LPP-M pumps as a skid to include the chemical feed tank.
