The Lee County Solid Waste Resource Recovery Facility, located in Southwest Florida, USA, began commercial operation in December 1994 to serve the needs of both Hendry and Lee counties. The facility processes 1200 tons-per-day of solid waste to generate up to 39,7 megawatts of renewable energy that is sold to Seminole Electric Cooperative. A Larox LPP-D25 pump was sold to the Lee County facility to pump soda ash into the system. Prior to the Larox pump, the customer was utilizing a competitors pump that was constantly in need of maintenance. The customer has achieved longer hose life as well as the use of less glycerin and man hours to change out the hose when needed.
